The roof properties window allows you to configure several options, as well as displays variables related to the roof within XactRemodel and XactRestore Studio.
To access the properties window, follow the steps below.
- Select the roof for which you need to view properties.
- Select the Properties… icon.
In the roof properties window, the following options appear.
- You can edit the room name, which appears at the top of the window.
- General:
- Group Code: The Studio group the room belongs to. For reference only.
- Subgroup Of: In sketches with more than one room, allows the selected room to be grouped with another one. For more information, see our Subgroups document.
- Show Label: Controls whether or not to show the room label on the canvas.
- Extend Roof Walls: Activates the ability to add walls to the roof.
- Roof Wall Height: When the above setting is activated, controls the size of the wall.
- Dimensions: Depending on the roof type, various measurements appear including overhangs, roof span, rafter length, ridge, and slope.
- Construction:
- Roof Framing: Allows for framing line items to be generated for the roof.
- Roof Wall: Allows for framing line items to be generated for the roof walls.
- Variables: Lists the calculated values for attributes in the room. You can find additional variables by selecting the Click for all variables button.
