Estimate (.esx) files generated by the discontinued XactRemodel desktop are structured differently than .esx files in Xactimate. To import these files into Xactimate, you must first convert them to a format supported by Xactimate.
Note: For assistance with importing XactRemodel desktop ESX estimates into XactRemodel or XactRestore online, please see our Import projects from XactRemodel desktop document.
- Select Admin.
- Select Integrations.
- Select Choose File(s).
- Navigate to the file location of the XactRemodel estimates.
- Select the desired .esx file(s).
- Select Open. The converted files save to the browser’s default downloads folder.
Note: If you select multiple files, you may be prompted to allow multiple downloads.
You can import the converted files to Xactimate via data transfer. For more information on this process, see our Data transfer, export or import a project or data document.
