Room Properties

The Room Properties window allows you to configure several options, as well as displays variables related to the room within XactRemodel and XactRestore Studio.


To access the window, either double-click the room or follow the steps below.


  1. Select the room to view properties for.
  2. Select the Properties… icon.

Once in the Room Properties window, the following options display:


  • The room name, which can be edited, displays at the top of the window.
  • General:
    • Group Code: The Studio group the room belongs to. For reference only.
    • Show Label: Controls whether or not to show the room label on the canvas.
  • Dimensions:
    • Floor Height: Sets the height of the floor.
    • Wall Thickness: Sets the thickness for all the walls in the room. Individual walls can be set in the wall properties.
  • Ceiling:
    • Ceiling Type: Sets the type of ceiling in the room. See our Ceilings in XactRemodel document for details.
    • Ceiling Height: Sets the height of the ceiling.
  • Variables: Lists the calculated values for attributes in the room. Additional variables can be found by selecting the Click for all variables button.
