This document covers the details available for line items in XactRemodel and XactRestore online and XR Mobile.

XactRemodel or XactRestore online

Summary

The Summary tab shows the following options.

• Description: This is the line item name shown in the proposal report.
• Activity: This shows the action for the item.

  Note: Not all line items include all of the options listed below.

  • Supply and Install: The cost of the material, labor, and equipment to install the item.
  • Remove: The cost of the labor and equipment to demo/remove the item.
  • Detach and Reset: The labor and equipment to remove an item, then reinstall the same item.
  • Material: The cost of the material.
  • Install: The labor and equipment cost to install the item.
  • Remove and Replace: The labor and equipment to demo/remove the item, the cost for the material, and the labor and equipment to install the new item.

    Note: This is a combination of the Remove and Supply and Install activities.

• Quantity: This shows the measurement for the item. Different items use different units of measure, such as SF (square feet), LF (linear feet), HR (hours), and EA (each).

  Note: For more information, see our Line item quantity calculations document.

• Unit pricing: This shows the cost of the item. Items in XactRemodel and XactRestore include any markup a subcontractor requires to do the work, but they do not include the markup a general contractor requires.

  Note: If you override the price, XactRemodel and XactRestore online display the text in blue. This does not apply to reports. For more information on line item pricing, see our Line item and pricing data document.

• Taxable: This allows you to make an item taxable or tax exempt.
• Notes: Any necessary notes about an item, such as a color, material, SKU, etc. These details print on the proposal report.

Components

The components section shows all related components for the selected line item, including material, labor, and equipment. For assistance with editing components, see our Edit components in XactRemodel and XactRestore document.

The ability to edit components is limited to customers with an XactRemodel Pro or XactRestore Pro subscription. To upgrade, call our PropTech Sales Department at 833-352-9228 between 7:00am – 4:00pm (Mountain Time), Monday – Friday.

You can either edit line item pricing from the summary tab or edit pricing from the components tab; you cannot edit both.

• Materials: This breaks down all material components that make up the item.
• Equipment: The cost for the necessary equipment to perform the work.
• Labor: The cost for labor to complete the work.
• Market Conditions: If the conditions in the market adjust rapidly, these short-term price adjustments are placed in the Market Conditions of an item. When these price changes become the norm, or when the price reverts back to what it was before the inflation of the price, the market condition goes away, and the material/equipment/labor adjusts as needed.
• Other adjustments:
  • Tax: The amount of tax applied to the line item.
  • Market Conditions: Any market conditions applied to the line item.
  • Adjustments: Any adjustments applied (such as markup, margin, or discounts).

The definition tab shows the details about the line item, including what is and is not included in it.

This helps you understand what the selected item includes. Some items direct users to other line items typically used with that item.

XR Mobile

Summary
