Export projects as a .csv file

You can generate .csv files that include all line items from a project. These files allow you to import the data into other software or parse it as needed. Most spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Excel, OpenOffice Calc, and Google Sheets, can view .csv files.


Tip Icon Users on the XactRemodel and XactRestore Pro subscription tiers can export projects to a .csv file. To upgrade, contact our PropTech Sales Department by calling 833-352-9228 between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM MT, Monday through Friday. This feature is only available on XactRemodel and XactRestore online, not on XR Mobile.


Follow the steps below to export a project to a .csv file.


  1. Within a project, select Reports.
  2. Select CSV Export. The .csv file automatically downloads.

  • Group name
  • Group description
  • Activity
  • Category code
  • Selector code
  • Description
  • Quantity
  • Unit
  • Unit price
  • Subtotal
  • Labor hours
  • Labor cost
  • Material cost
  • Equipment cost
  • Markup rate
  • Markup amount
  • Taxable
  • Tax rate
  • Tax cost
  • Total cost
