Ceilings

Rose Gulley Updated by Rose Gulley

Ceiling properties can be edited for rooms sketched in the Studio feature. The following types are available:

  • Attic: Creates a barrel style ceiling. For assistance with these roofs, see our Create a vaulted or attic ceiling document.
  • Box: A flat ceiling, the most basic form. One measurement is available which sets the height of the entire ceiling.
Note: Rooms that are added and dimensioned using the Estimate tree are only able to have box ceilings.
  • Peaked: For rooms with a taller spot on the ceiling. Several variables are available to determine the slope and location of the peak.
  • Sloped: Like a peaked ceiling just without a peak in the ceiling. Two variables are available to determine the height of the short and tall wall.
  • Tray: Rooms that have a taller center ceiling area. Several variables are available to determine the height and where the tray sits.

Ceiling properties can be accessed by opening the room properties window.
