Import Xactimate estimates (ESX) in to XactRemodel and XactRestore

XactRestore includes the option to import Xactimate projects from an Xactimate instance and ESX files from the legacy XactRemodel Desktop application into XactRestore.

Note: Users of the former XactRemodel desktop also have access to the ability to import legacy projects into XactRemodel without being subscribed to the XactRestore subscription tier.

Tip Icon For this process to work, the Xactware ID for Xactimate and XactRestore must be the same.


  1. From the XactRestore project list, select Add From Xactimate.
  2. Select Import from Xactimate.

  3. Select the Xactimate instance to import from.
    Note: If you are only added to one Xactimate instance, skip this step.

  4. Select the Xactimate estimate to import.
  5. Select IMPORT.

Import an ESX file into XactRestore

Tip Icon CAUTION: Limit import batch size to 50-100 estimates at a time.


  1. From the XactRestore project list, select Add From Xactimate.
  2. Select Upload ESX File.

  4. Select Open.
