Schedule Work Week Setup
Updated by Rosie Arkusinski
To enhance the scheduling feature in XactRemodel, customize your schedule settings to ensure that the auto-schedule feature within a project respects your specific company's schedule.
Work Week Schedule
Within the work week, the user has the ability to specify the hours and days in which events can automatically be scheduled. XactRemodel references this information when it auto-schedules a project to ensure it conforms to your company's schedule.
How to Schedule a Work Week
- In the primary navigation menu, go to the Settings page.
- Navigate to the Schedule card.
- Underneath Work week, click on the time range for the day to be edited.
- In the window that appears, indicate that it is a working day by clicking on the slider icon to turn it orange or gray if it is a non-working day.
- Enter the start and end time for that day and click Save.
Non-Working Dates
Adding non-working days prevents a task from being scheduled on that day. When the user is auto-generating a project, the project will be scheduled around the non-working dates. These days can include holidays, vacations, and any other planned closures.
How to Schedule Non-Working Dates
- In the primary navigation, go to the Settings page.
- Navigate to the Schedule card. Underneath Non-working dates, click Add non-working date.
- In the window that appears, type the description of the event and select the non-working date by typing it in or selecting it on the calendar provided.
- Click Add to add the non-working date to your calendar.
