Studio has multiple options for ceiling types in a room. Each ceiling types has properties that can be adjusted to achieve a variety of ceiling shapes.

The ceiling type for a room is set in the Room Properties menu, which is accessed by double-clicking a room or clicking the properties icon next to a selected room.

Property

Description

Ceiling Height

Sets the height of all walls in the room.

Sloped

Property

Description

Tall Wall

Sets the height of the tallest wall in the room.

Short Wall

Sets the height of the shortest wall in the room.

The arrow in the room indicates the direction of the slope. The arrow points from the shortest wall to the tallest wall.

Peaked

Property

Description

Tall Wall

Sets the height of the tallest wall in the room.

Peak Height

Sets the height of the highest point in the room.

Distance to Peak

The horizontal distance from the shortest wall to the highest point.

Short Wall

Sets the height of the shortest wall in the room.

The thin line dividing the room indicates the location of the peak in the room.

Tray

Property

Description

Ceiling Height

Sets the height of the walls in the room.

Tray Height

Sets the height of the tray relative to the ceiling height.

Distance to Opening

Sets the distance from the wall to where the tray opening begins.

Distance to Recess

Sets the slope of the tray. It is defined by the horizontal distance from the lowest point of the tray to the highest point of the tray.

Currently, tray ceilings are not distinguishable from box ceilings in 3D.

Tall Wall

Sets the height of the tallest wall in the room.

Short Wall

Sets the height of the shortest wall in the room.

Distance to Attic

Sets the distance from the shortest wall to the highest point in the room.

Attic Height

Sets the height of the highest point in the room.

Attic Width

Sets the width of the highest point in the room.

The thin lines across the room indicate the location of the ceiling transitions.
