XactRemodel Desktop can only be installed with Windows operating system.
After May 1, 2022, you cannot install by directly opening the installation file. You will need to change some settings in order to successfully install.
In File Explorer set the View options to show "File Name Extensions"
Locate the installation file for XactRemodel. The name should be "27.103 (13.100417)_Setup.exe".
Rename the file to "27.103 (13.100417)_Setup.zip" and press enter to confirm the change.
Right-click on the file name and select "Extract All..." and follow the instructions
Open the new folder and navigate to "27.103 (13.100417)_Setup\27.103 (13.100417)\CD"
Open "XM8.msi" and follow the on-screen instructions to install XactRemodel.
Do not launch XactRemodel at the end of the installation process. The next section outlines steps that need to be completed for launching XactRemodel for the first time.
Before Launching XactRemodel
Do not launch XactRemodel before completing these steps.
In File Explorer, navigate to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Xactware\XactRemodel27\CORE"
Open "FirstTime.exe" and select "XactAnalysis Configuration"
For "XactAnalysis IPs and Ports" enter "xrcomm.xactware.com, 18720"
Click "OK"
Launch XactRemodel and follow the on-screen instruction
